Provides orientation and training to trainees.
Conducts assessments, develops intervention plans and makes referrals for identified trainees.
Provides counseling, relapse prevention and prevention education.
Provide training to all staff on policies and procedures.
Networks with center staff and community agencies to provide support services to students.
Works with Physician, Health Services staff and other designated staff to ensure intervention components are fully understood and integrated in the center.
Works in conjunction with the Recreation Department to assist in developing leisure activities and incentives to reinforce Drug/Alcohol free lifestyle.
Acts as a liaison for issues.
Promotes quality and delivery of services.
Participates in student feedback and concerns.
Maintains statistics for quarterly reports.
Assures specimen collection and handling.

|
Bachelors Degree in Counseling or related field or work experience equivalent to a Bachelors Degree.
Must have CAADAC or CAADE Certificate.
Two years experience developing and implementing intervention programs for chemical dependence and behavior management (preferably for adolescents in a residential setting).
